Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and onlays (partial crowns) are the perfect solution for patients who need a minor dental restoration for their tooth damage or decay. Inlays and onlays can restore a tooth that has decay, but still has a majority of healthy tooth enamel. The inlay or onlay replaced the missing part of the tooth. These dental restorations are placed and fitted to naturally complete your tooth.

Receiving an inlay or onlay is very similar to receiving a dental crown. To ensure the best fit and function of your dental restoration, expect to visit our office two or three times before the inlay or onlay is placed.

Typically, our dentists place inlays when minimal tooth decay or damage has occurred, and we place onlays when the tooth damage and decay is more significant. No matter which of the two you need, the material we use to fill the decayed or damaged area is made to match your natural teeth perfectly, making your teeth feel and look healthy once again.
